The original and possibly only ‘Scrumpy and Western’ band! The Wurzels came to both the limelight and then legendary status after reaching number 1 in the UK with their hit ‘Combine Harvester’ in 1976, and had more success with top 5 hit ‘I’m a Cider Drinker’ the following year!
Known for their brilliant and fun live shows, the Wurzels have never stopped gigging or releasing songs and in 2010 re-released ‘Combine Harvester’ with 100% of the funds made going to charity before releasing their latest album ‘A Load More Bullocks’ in 2011.
We are crossing our legs in expectation of this unique and legendary band playing Burtfest’s final day especially since they haven’t been this far North for half a decade! Better get the ciders in!
