FAQ – Frequently asked questions
Q) I can’t seem to buy tickets from your home page, everytime I click the buy tickets nothing happens!?!
A) We are aware that this might happen on certain servers and there are a few things you can do…..first check that you haven’t got pop ups turned off on your settings! The ticket page appears in a pop up window so it won’t appear if your settings don’t allow pop ups. If not try using this direct link http://www.musicglue.com/burtfest , if that link doesn’t work try right clicking and opening in a new tab. If you still are having problems please email email@example.com
Q) When is the festival?
A) Look up the top of the page! June 15th- 17th 2012!
Q) How do I get to Burtfest?
A) Burtfest is at the Washland’s Sports Club and entry is gained via Meadow Lane. Please check our location page for more details.
Q) Can we bring the car?
A) Yes. We will have parking this year, however if your local we would ask for you to leave cars at home as the car park is limited and so spaces for out of town people would be priority, also you drive you can’t drink!
Q) If I don’t bring the car, how else can I get there?
A) Burton has good bus services that stop very close to the site and the site is in short walking distance of Burton Train station. It is fairly cheap on train or bus from nearby cities such as Derby, Nottingham or Birmingham. The site is also a short walk from the town centre.
Q) Can we bring the kids?
A) YES! We are proud to be the only festival in the world that offer under 18s for free. However under 18s wanting to enter will need to be with a responsible parent or guardian. The staff on the door will decide this so your 18 year old drunk brother is no good! You can order advance tickets for under 18s online for a small admin fee (£2 extra) to make sure they get in but again they must be with an adult upon entry.
Q) Can I bring my own booze?
A) NO. Sorry but no booze is aloud on site apart from the booze sold at our registered bars. However, all alcohol will be sold at pub prices, we have 3 bars and average price will be £3 a drink (pint or equivalent).
Q) Can we camp?
A) YES! There is camping this year, however spaces are limited so as with car parking we would advice if your local to consider not camping unless you really feel the need! Advance camping tickets can be bought online too and again are free but with a small admin charge of £2.
Q) Can I at least have my own booze on the campsite?
A) Sorry again no, however there will be a small shop on the camp site selling crates of booze as well as other important festival items at shop prices!
Q) Can my band play the festival?
A) This year’s lineup is nearly full but feel free to contact us via the contact page and applications for 2013 will be taken after June 2012.
Q) Can I bring my dog/cat/rabbit?
A) Sadly no, as much as we love the little animals we are using a sports pitch which will be in use for sports clubs and games soon after the festival and young footballers and cricketers don’t want to slip over in dog poop as they make a tackle/catch a ball!
Q) Can I volunteer to work the festival?
A) Yes, however again we are nearly sorted for volunteers this year, but feel free to contact us via the contact page and come chat with us at this year’s festival and maybe we can sort it out next year if not this year!
Q) Will there be food at the festival?
A) YES! This year we have lots of food stalls including Burgers, Kebabs, Curries, Pizzas, Potatoes and more and as with the beer all our food is capped at a good price so won’t break the bank, we are all about value at Burtfest!
Q) Can I bring a camper van?
A) Maybe…..room is limited so if your thinking of bringing a camper please email us via the contact page and let us know so we can make arrangements and space!
Q) When can we arrive at the festival and when does the music start?
A) Doors to the festival will open at 5.30pm on Friday June 15th, 11am on Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th of June. The Campsite opens at 4pm on Friday and closes at 10pm (so if your camping you need to be there by then!). Music start at 6pm on Friday and midday on Saturday and Sunday.
Q) When does the music stop and festival finish?
A) Music will end by midnight on Friday and Saturday and by 9pm on Sunday. Campers must be off site by midday on Monday at the latest.
Q) Is the festival suitable and accessible if I have a disability?
A) The site is flat and we will have disabled toilets so most certainly!
Q) Can I smoke on site??
A) Yes. Most the stages are outdoor arenas however you are legally not allowed to smoke in the bar tents or acoustic bar. Please keep to the law!
Q) What if I run out of cash?
A) There are cash machines a short walk from the site in Burton town.
Q) Is there anything else I should know?
A) Please do not bring glass containers, fireworks, weapons (or anything that can be used as a weapon), laser pens, drugs, pets or your own booze to the festival. This is a community and family friendly event and if we feel anyone is acting in an anti social way we may have to eject you from the site. Please feel free to read the full terms and conditions on the ticket purchasing site for piece of mind and ENJOY YOURSELF!!!
